'The 100' Prequel Series Is No Longer Moving Forward

It’s the end of the road for the planned The 100 prequel series.

We haven’t heard any news on the show since May 2021, but we just got a sad update that it’s not going to happen.

Find out more inside…

According to TV Line, the project that would have been titled The 100: Second Dawn has essentially been canceled altogether.

In May, CW boss Mark Pedowitz said that “it is not done in any way shape or form, but there’s discussions still happening.”

The prequel was first revealed in October 2019 to be set to air as a backdoor pilot in The 100‘s final season.

A year after that, The 100 creator Jason Rothenberg shared an update that wasn’t sure what was going to happen, and in January 2021 it was still in the works but delayed.

In case you missed it, another CW prequel series is in the works…
