Disney Pixar Debut New Trailer For 'Turning Red,' Featuring New Song By Billie Eilish & Finneas - Watch Now!

The official trailer for Disney Pixar’s new movie Turning Red has just debuted on Wednesday (November 17)!

Newcomer Rosalie Chiang stars as Mei in the movie, which will be out in March 2022.

In the new trailer, fans are introduced to Pixar’s first ever boyband 4*Town, who Mei and her friends are obsessed with.

“We needed our character Mei to be obsessed with something that her mom would not approve of,” director Domee Shi said. “Boy bands were the first step into the world of boys for a lot of girls that age. The guys were all super pretty, polished, soft and loving, and they had of way of bringing girls and their besties together. Plus, I thought it’d be really cool to create an animated boy band.”

The trailer also features 4*Town’s song “Nobody Like U,” which along with two other songs, was written by Billie Eilish and Finneas! NSYNC‘s “It’s Gonna Be” is featured in the trailer as well.

Turning Red introduces Mei Lee (Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

Also lending their voices to the movie are Orion Lee as Mei’s dad, Jin, Wai Ching Ho as Grandma, Ava Morse as Miriam, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Priya, Hyein Park as Abby, Tristan Allerick Chen as classmate Tyler and Addie Chandler as Mei’s secret crush Devon, plus James Hong, Lori Tan Chinn, Lillian Lim, Mia Tagano, Sherry Cola, Sasha Roiz and Lily Sanfelippo.
