OlderHailee Steinfeld Wishes She Had a Character Like Kate Bishop Growing Up
Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about getting to play Kate Bishop in Hawkeye.
The 24-year-old actress makes her Marvel debut as the character next week, one she wishes she had when growing up.
“It’s really a privilege to be able to play a character that could in any way possibly inspire anyone,” Hailee told Variety at the LA premiere.

“Kate Bishop is a character that I would have loved to have had growing up — somebody who is completely ambitious, driven and disciplined, and takes it upon herself to do whatever it is she has to do to achieve her goals,” she added. “I am very excited for people to meet her.”
Hawkeye will debut it’s first two episodes NEXT Wednesday (November 24) on Disney+.
“It’s very fun, and I’m very excited for it to come out,” she previously told ET about Hawkeye. “I still can’t find the words to describe just how incredible it feels.”
