'Trolls 3' Gets Release Date, To Debut In Theaters Exclusively

The next installment in the Trolls movie franchise just got a release date!

The untitled Trolls 3 is set to debut in theaters exclusively in 2023, unlike the last movie, Trolls World Tour, Deadline reveals.

Due to the pandemic, the sequel was released day and date in theaters and on PVOD last year.

Get the details inside…

Trolls 3 will have an exclusive theatrical release for 17 days before dropping on PVOD.

No director has been announced yet, and it’s unclear what the plot will entail, or which stars are returning.

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake have starred as Poppy and Branch, respectively, in the last two movies, and it’s likely they’ll be back for the third.

Trolls 3 will hit theaters on November 17, 2023.

Later this week, Trolls Holiday in Harmony will premiere on NBC, featuring Anna, Justin and more from Trolls World Tour.

In the holiday special, as the holidays near, Queen Poppy plans the First Annual Trolls Kingdom Secret Holiday Gift Swap. But things take an unexpected turn when she and Branch draw each other’s name. Meanwhile Tiny Diamond comes down with a bad case of writers’ block, trying to think of a special holiday rap for his dad.

Tune in THIS Friday (November 26) at 9pm ET/PT on NBC.

For more Trolls, you can catch Trolls: Trollstopia on Hulu and Peacock, and you can watch Trolls: The Beat Goes On on Netflix.
