Troye Sivan, Nico Hiraga & More Join Lily-Rose Depp In The Weeknd's New Show 'The Idol'

The Weeknd‘s television series The Idol has just been picked up to series!

The new show, co-created by The Weeknd, Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim, will be on HBO and it also stars Lily-Rose Depp.

It was also just announced that several stars have joined the cast, including Troye Sivan and Nico Hiraga, according to Variety.

The Idol is set against the backdrop of the music industry and centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.

Suzanna Son, Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Steve Zissis, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Anne Heche have been cast as well.

Suzanna, Steve and Troye will all be series regulars, with the aforementioned as recurring.

The series will be filmed in and around Los Angeles, with Amy Seimetz directing all six episodes.

In case you missed it, Nico was also recently announced to be in this new movie, which is starting filming in Taipei this month!
