Leslie Grace's 'Batgirl' Officially Starts Filming, Directors Share First Pic!

Batgirl has started filming!

In The Heights star Leslie Grace is suiting up as the superhero for the upcoming DC film, which is set to debut on HBO Max.

The directors of the movie, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, shared the first photo from the set, which features the slate, shows off the official logo, and teases a little piece of information about Barbara Gordon, who is Batgirl.

Bilall wrote, “#BATGIRL 🦇 DAY 1 !!! #dc #alhamdulillah 🙏🏽 💜”

Fans have noticed that in the photo, there is a name tag that reads “Officer Barbara Gordon.”

While not much is known about the film, we do know it will center on Barbara, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, who takes on the Batgirl mantle.

Also cast in the movie are Jacob Scipio in an unknown role and JK Simmons, who will reprise the character of Commissioner Gordon. He previously played Gordon in Justice League.
