Saturdays follows follows Paris, who, since the age of four, has been honing her skills on the cool parquet floor of SATURDAYS, a local skating rink owned and operated by a former ’90s hip-hop back-up dancer. With its neon lights, galaxy-painted rink and killer D.J. spinning the latest music, SATURDAYS is the place to show and prove.

Starring in the show are Danielle Jalade as Paris Johnson, a 13-year-old girl who has spent most of her life roller-skating, Omar Gooding and Golden Brooks as her parents Cal and Deb, Jermaine Harris as her older brother and aspiring DJ, London, Daria Johns and newcomer Samantha A. Smith as her best friends, Simone and Roxy, with Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker will appear in a recurring role as roller rink owner Duchess.

Filming is set to begin in May 2022, with Norman Vance Jr. as a writer and executive producer, with Nicole Dow and Joshua and Carol Martin producing as well.

“We’re thrilled to be in business with Marsai, Norman, Nicole, Joshua, and Carol in bringing this adventure to our viewers,” Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, shared in a statement. “We know that audiences will fall in love with Paris, her friends, and her family as they share in the love, laughter, and music in this fun-filled world of roller skating.”
