The brand new trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 has just been released!

Debuting during The Game Awards on Thursday evening (December 9), we got a first look at Tails and Knuckles.

Colleen O’Shaughnessey joins the film as the voice of Tails, while Idris Elba lends his voice to Knuckles.

Here’s a synopsis: After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

Sonic 2 also stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally and Shemar Moore.

The upcoming sequel will hit theaters on April 8, 2022.
