While appearing on Face to Face with Becky G, the 20-year-old actress and singer opened up about the things she liked about the movie.

Find out what she shared inside…

“I didn’t know it was gonna be that big. I didn’t know it was gonna be based on Peru,” Isabela told Becky G. “So, like, that was a complete surprise and a complete coincidence, ’cause I ended up having to speak Quechua.”

“I ended up having to, like, sing in that and dance in that. Like, that was a crazy experience,” she added.

“And, like, there’s so many things I love about that movie,” Isabela continued. “In particular, like, the fact that she doesn’t have a love interest. The fact that no one’s ever, like, ‘You’re Latina. Say something in Spanish.’”

Becky G also praised Isabela for her portrayal of the character.

“She was a bad bitz. She had a lot of bad bitz to her, okay? She had to survive on her own…in the jungle. She was a girl on a mission,” she said about Dora, adding, “And you got to be that girl on a mission, to the point where– and you did it so amazing…and you brought, like, this really cool– like, this grit to her. A little bit of your own, like…actual Isabela essence…”

During this episode of Face to Face, the Latinx stars also talked about their twinning looks, the offensive assumption that all Latinx people are Mexican and more. Check it out below!
