Ariana DeBose Tapped To Host First 'Saturday Night Live' Episode of 2022!

Ariana DeBose is set to host Saturday Night Live later this month!!

The 30-year-old West Side Story actress has been announced as the first host of 2022 for the late night sketch comedy show.

Joining Ariana as the musical guest that night will be Roddy Ricch.

“I’m hosting @nbcsnl 🤯,” Ariana shared on Instagram. “Hold please while I go collect my extremities, as I have exploded from excitement and sensible fear 🥳😱”

She received tons of love in the comments of her post, including from former Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong, who she co-starred with in the AppleTV+ series Schmigadoon!

“😍😍😍 WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!!” Cecily wrote.

If you didn’t know, SNL creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels was also an executive producer on Schmigadoon!

This upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live is said to have a full cast, crew and in-person audience, according to Deadline, though with the Omicron variant, that could change. The episode will also be live streamed on Peacock!
