Last week, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” surpassed Frozen‘s hit “Let It Go” and became one of Disney’s highest ranking songs to date.
The catchy hit song was previously No 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, but has now moved up to the No 2 spot, just behind Adele‘s “Easy On Me.”
It is now the second song EVER from a Disney animated film to reach the top two spots. Aladdin‘s “A Whole New World” reached No 1 in 1993.
In addition, Encanto‘s “Surface Pressure,” sung by Jessica Darrow, aka Luisa in the movie, has entered the top 10 in the No 10 spot. The film is now the first Disney animated pic to have multiple top 10 songs!
Also this week, the entire Encanto soundtrack has made it’s way back to the No 1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, rising from No 3 the week before.
The soundtrack becomes Walt Disney Records’ first No 1 to spend more than one week on the top since Frozen in 2014. Frozen previously spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No 1.
