'We Don't Talk About Bruno' Makes History, Tops Billboard Hot 100 Chart!

“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is now a number one single on the Billboard Hot 100!!

The hit song from Disney’s Encanto first debuted on the chart at No 50 and has risen fairly quickly.

Last week, the fan-favorite track climbed to No 2 on the chart, and has now dethroned Adele for the top spot.

Just recently, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” passed Frozen‘s “Let It Go” as one of Disney’s highest ranking songs, and now it’s making history!

“Bruno” is now only one of TWO songs from a Disney animated feature that has risen to No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The first was “A Whole New World” from Aladdin in 1993.

This is also the first No 1 for writer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is the sole writer on the song. It’s also a first time No 1 for Walt Disney Records. Congratulations!

Also this week, the Encanto soundtrack continues to dominate at No 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, marking it’s third nonconsecutive week in the top spot!
