Joe Jonas Officially Announces DNCE Return, Teases Upcoming New Music!

DNCE IS BACK!!!

It’s official, Joe Jonas‘ other band is making a return, as fans learned on Monday morning (February 7).

The band’s social media pages uploaded a new logo that morning, and updated their bio to read, “We’re back to make you move,” in all caps, along with a dancing man emoji and a shot emoji.

This comes after Joe teased their new song on TikTok over the weekend.

The singer even opened up in a new interview about the band’s return, which will only include three out of the four original members – bassist Cole Whittle will not be back.

Get more details inside…

“While I was in the Jonas Brothers again, I put a pause on all things DNCE, with the support of my fellow bandmates,” Joe told Rolling Stone. “So it became this thing where we all went and did our own thing and started to look at what else we wanted to do. Cole’s been making really amazing music that’s right up his alley, and I’m really supportive of him.”

Joe, guitarist JinJoo Lee and drummer Jack Lawless will all be a part of the band’s comeback, which Joe says could be a “‘living, breathing’ ever-evolving pop music rodeo,” and attributes that he can “kind of foresee it becoming this E Street Band where members come and go.”

Their first single is “Dancing Feet,” a collaboration with Kygo, and that’s what Joe has been teasing on social media for the last few weeks.

“It’s really happy. It’s that feeling of not really giving a fuck and enjoying life to the fullest,” Joe shares of the new song. “I think what DNCE always did so well was bring joy to people, which is what I wanted to do with this new batch of music. Obviously it’s still very tricky times, but it reminds us all of being able to go out there and dance and enjoy life.”

Joe revealed that he started writing new DNCE music back when he was filming his upcoming movie Devotion, which was filmed in Savannah Georgia.

“I felt so inspired by what a beautiful city I was in and some of the music I heard when I was there,” he said.

On this upcoming batch of new songs, he’s written with artists like Ryan Tedder, Jason Evigan, Mike Elizondo and Mikky Ekko.
