Zendaya & Mike Faist Sign On For New Romantic Drama From Luca Guadagnino

Zendaya and Mike Faist will be starring in a new movie together!

The Euphoria star and the West Side Story actor have been cast in the upcoming Challengers, from filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, THR reveals.

Also joining the cast is The Crown‘s Josh O’Connor.

Here’s a synopsis: Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, [who] has taken her husband, Art, and transformed him from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a ‘Challenger’ event — close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour — where he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick: his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.

Zendaya will play Tashi, while Mike will play her husband, and Josh has been cast as the former flame.

Producing the film are Zendaya and Luca, as well as Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s Amy Pascal.

The movie is planned for a spring shoot on the East Coast, according to THR.

Zendaya‘s deal for the film is reportedly closed and she will earn $10 million for the pic, according to Puck.
