Barbie Ferreira Addresses Kat's Storyline In 'Euphoria' Season 2 Amid Fan Backlash

Barbie Ferreira is speaking out about her character Kat on Euphoria.

The 25-year-old actress’ presence on the current second season of the hit show has been more minimal than her prominence in the first season.

Many fans have expressed their outrage on social media, and there are also rumors of a feud with creator, writer and director Sam Levinson over Kat and her character arc, leading to her scenes being cut or being few and far between.

In a recent interview, she addressed her character’s storyline this season.

“Kat’s journey this season is a little more internal and a little mysterious to the audience,” Barbie told The Cut. “She is secretly going through a lot of existential crises. She loses her marbles a little bit — just like everyone else in this season. The theme is everyone’s gone a little crazy.”

Euphoria only has a couple of more episodes this season, with the season finale airing on February 27th.
