“🤩I am SO EXCITED to join the ‘Hungry’ fam ❤️ I love this show and everyone involved so I couldn’t be happier or more ready to get to work. Guess you could say I’m hungry 😉 lol. (Cringe) puns aside, I want to say a special thank you to the beyond lovely @jeffgreenbergcd for championing me and giving me the opportunity to be included in something special once again❣️🥰 Thank you Jeff & Allen, the whole Hungry team, @nbc and my team. I’m just filled with gratitude❤️❤️” Ariel excitedly shared on Instagram.

Teddy is “a talented food stylist who wants to have a healthy relationship with food and date men who are good for her – but, like so many of us – it’s a struggle.”

Hungry follows a “group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.”

Also set to star in the pilot are Valerie Bertinelli as Teddy’s mom, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Ryan McPartlin, Alex Brightman and Ashley D. Kelley.

Demi is set to continue on as an executive producer alongside their manager Scooter Braun and Sean Hayes.

The pilot is set to go into production this week, with a table read on Tuesday (March 8).

This marks Ariel‘s first television gig since Modern Family aired it’s final episode in 2020.
