'Good Trouble' Star Exits Freeform Series After Just Over 3 Seasons, Following Fan Speculation

Good Trouble is saying goodbye to one of it’s stars after tonight’s episode!

The latest episode just aired on Freeform, and one person left the coterie.

In the episode, “Kiss me and Smile For Me,” Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana’s (Cierra Ramirez) moms (Sherri Saum, Teri Polo) and brother Jude (Hayden Byerly) pay the girls a surprise visit. Davia (Emma Hunton) deals with personal and professional pressures. Joaquin (Bryan Craig) tries to dig into the Coterie’s past.

The first episode of season four teed up the possible exit of one of the main characters, when they said they weren’t sure what they were doing with their life anymore. They also said at the end of the episode, “Maybe I can have the moon and the stars, if I just find the courage to reach for them. Maybe to do that, I need to make some big life changes.”

Fans have also been speculating this person is leaving based on them appearing to not be in Los Angeles, where the show films, for much of the past few months, while others in the cast have been on set filming.

Maia Mitchell is leaving Good Trouble!

In tonight’s episode, during a large group/family dinner at the Coterie, Callie reveals she got a job with the ACLU, which would be taking her to Washington, DC.

After Mariana questions her, she asks, “So you’re moving?” Callie nodded, and when asked when she leaves, she responded with, “Two days.”

The dinner then turned into a going away party.

At the end of the episode when Callie was on the plane, Jamie walked on and says he also got a job in DC. Looks like we’re losing not just Callie, but Jamie as well!

Beau Mirchoff played Jamie and has appeared in all seasons until now. He started off in a recurring role, before being promoted to series regular for season three.

Maia has been playing Callie since 2013 when she first appeared on The Fosters in the pilot episode. She appeared in all five seasons of that show, and every episode of Good Trouble up until now.

On Good Trouble, she was not only one of the stars of the spinoff, but she also served as an executive producer, alongside Cierra Ramirez.

We’re certainly going to miss Maia and Beau on Good Trouble!!
