Shawn Mendes Talks Things You Don't Realize Post Breakup In New Video

Shawn Mendes is opening up about life post-breakup in a new video.

The 23-year-old singer/songwriter has been sharing clips from studio sessions on social media and in the latest one, he talks about what you don’t realize after a breakup.

“A lot of the thing that is also resonating in the lyric for me is like oh f–k, you don’t realize… When you’re like breaking up with someone and you think it’s the right thing. You don’t realize all the sh-t that comes after it,” he says.

“Which is like, who do I call when I’m in a panic attack? Who do I call when I’m f–king on the edge?” Shawn continues. “And I think that’s the reality that kind of hit. It’s like, oh I’m on my own now. Now I feel like, finally, I’m actually on my own and I hate that, you know? That’s my reality.”

Shawn and Camila Cabello announced their breakup last November in a joint statement to fans.

He has since released a song, “It’ll Be Okay,” which seemingly was about the split.

Just recently, Camila opened up about the breakup for the first time, and revealed what went into the decision.
