Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton hit the carpet while attending the 2022 ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards held at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday afternoon (March 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The King Richard stars were joined at the event highlighting “The Black Cinematic Universe” and celebrating Black women in entertainment by their co-stars Daniele Lawson, Layla Crawford, Mikayla LaShae Bartholomew and Aunjanue Ellis.

The young actresses showed support for Aunjanue, who was one of the honorees at the event this year, alongside Quinta Brunson, Nia Long and Chanté Adams.

King Richard is up for several awards at the 2022 Oscars this weekend, including Best Picture, Best Film Editing and Best Original Screenplay.

While the young ladies don’t have any nominations, their co-stars do. Will Smith is up for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Aunjanue is up for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
