Walt Disney World Announces 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind' Opening Date!

The Guardians of the Galaxy are coming to Walt Disney World!!

The Disney resort in Florida has just revealed the opening date for one of it’s new attractions at the EPCOT park – Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

This new ride will mark the first time Marvel characters will be featured at Walt Disney World!

Cosmic Rewind is also the first reverse-launch coaster for Disney and it’s the first coaster attraction at EPCOT.

The ride is located in the newly renamed World Discovery neighborhood and is part of EPCOT’s ongoing transformation.

On Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, guests will “learn more about the treasures Xandar has to share – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and guests go on an intergalactic chase through space and time.”

It also features the new storycoaster, which rotates 360 degrees, and if all of this wasn’t enough, the coaster is one of the world’s longest fully enclosed coasters!

Glenn Close reprises her role of Nova Prime for the attraction.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open on May 27th as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration!
