Troye Sivan Recalls Locking Eyes With Timothee Chalamet at Met Gala 2021

Troye Sivan is looking back at the 2021 Met Gala!

The 26-year-old entertainer was one of the many celebs in attendance at the fashion event, where he wore a long black dress by ALTU by Joseph Altuzarra.

While inside the event, Troye got to meet Timothee Chalamet, who wore an all white outfit, and he recalls when they first locked eyes.

“I was a little bit nervous, yeah. It was nice though,” Troye said on the Zach Sang Show last fall. “I don’t think I would have gone up to him and spoken to him because I’m just like, I don’t know, I’m socially a bit nervous about that kind of stuff, especially if I think someone’s cool.”

“But him and I sort of locked eyes and he was the one that was like, ‘Oh hey, what’s up?’ and so then I was like, okay, this is happening, be cool. Then we talked for a while actually, it was really nice. We spoke about how we have like exactly the same body from the head down,” he continued. “Like when I was watching Call Me By Your Name, down to his like nipples, I was like this is me. You could chop the head off and tell me that that was me in that movie and I would believe you. And I know my body well.”

“So yeah, we spoke about that. Maybe that was weird of me to bring up to him, but I did. I didn’t say the nipples part though. I was just like, we are the same,” he shared.

When asked if they swapped information, Troye said, “No, we just sort of went our separate ways. Maybe he was freaked out.”
