The red carpet is about to begin shortly for the 2022 Met Gala!
The annual event is taking place from the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 2) in New York City.
Each year, aside from 2021, fashion’s biggest night is on the first Monday of May.

The theme each year reflects the new exhibit at the museum, and this year is the second part to last year – In America: An Anthology of Fashion, Part Two.
To coincide with the museum exhibit, the official theme of the Met Gala is “Gilded Glamour,” where guests are asked to “embody the grandeur—and perhaps the dichotomy—of Gilded Age New York,” a period that stretched from 1870 to 1890.
This year’s co-chairs include Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
