Julie Plec Bids Farewell to 'Vampire Diaries' Universe Ahead of 'Legacies' Series Finale

Legacies is coming to an end with it’s season four finale, which also serves as it’s series finale!

The fan-favorite series ending marks the end of the Vampire Diaries franchise, after three shows and 13 years in the TVDU.

While the series is coming to an end, it was previously confirmed that they had a heads up it might not be renewed. Due to the heads up, they were able to give the show a proper ending, and it won’t end on a cliffhanger.

In the series finale, “Just Don’t Be A Stranger, Okay?”, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse), Kaleb (Chris Lee), Jed (Ben Levin), Cleo (Omono Okojie) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) reflect on recent events and what comes next for each of them. Hope and Lizzie each find solace from unexpected yet welcome sources.

The episode was written by series creator Julie Plec and showrunner Brett Matthews. Tune in TONIGHT (June 16) at 9pm ET/PT on The CW, next day on The CW app.
