Meet Zombies 3's New Alien Star Terry Hu & Learn 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Zombies 3 is out now and we are introducing fans to one of the new stars of the franchise, Terry Hu!

The non-binary actor, who uses they/them pronouns, joins the hit musical franchise as non-binary alien A-Spen, who is a super-intelligent, telepathic Alien who, after arriving on Earth, finds an uncommon emotion entering their bloodstream: Love.

In the new movie, Zed is anticipating an athletic scholarship that will make him the first zombie to attend college, while Addison is gearing up for Seabrook’s first international cheer-off. Then suddenly, extraterrestrial beings arrive in Seabrook, provoking something other than friendly competition.

“I don’t know if any number of pictures / videos could really capture the other night but here are some anyway, in an attempt to immortalize one of the most special, sunny (literally) moments of my LIFE 😭,” Terry shared of the Zombies 3 premiere last weekend.

“I’ve said it once and I’m sure I’ll say it MANY times again — I never imagined being a part of a musical, let alone a Disney one, but this project was truly everything I didn’t know I wanted and I’m SO lucky it will forever be my first feature ❤️‍🔥,” they continued.

In celebration of the new movie being out NOW on Disney+, we caught up with Terry and learned 10 Fun Facts about them. Check ‘em out below!

• 1. I have three older brothers named Perry, Larry, and Jerry. My parents really gave it their all on that one!!!
• 2. I LOVE chess (even before I watched Queen’s Gambit ok!!!) and hope to collect many beautiful chess boards throughout my life. That said, right now I just have one little plastic travel set but…trust.
• 3. The first show I ever binged was LOST on Hulu. I binged it SO hard that I, without meaning to, memorized literally every single word and intonation of the 5-hour Energy commercial that always played during the ad breaks. I know it to this day — 10 years and counting <3
• 4. I am an extremely fast typer (and talker) — my average WPM is around 125, but the highest I’ve gotten is about 145. My friends always say: if you hear your phone ding 20 times in 10 seconds, it’s Terry.
• 5. I have a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from UCLA.
• 6. I can speak Mandarin!
• 7. I used to say I was a dog person but then I realized I think that’s mainly because I’d been socialized to feel that way (hot take, I know)?? All this to say, I literally…adore. cats. Don’t have one myself yet but as fact #2 would say…trust.
• 8. I can touch my tongue to my nose!
• 9. Cooking on my own gives me anxiety (working on that) but I LOVE chopping vegetables whenever someone else is cooking.
• 10. I’m not a coffee drinker!
