BLACKPINK's Jennie Dishes On Joining The Weeknd's Series 'The Idol

Jennie Kim is opening up about what drew her to the new series The Idol!

Many fans spotted the BLACKPINK singer alongside Lily-Rose Depp in the teaser trailer released earlier this week, and now it’s been officially confirmed she is part of the cast.

Jennie also opened up about the script and joining the cast.

“I found the script very intriguing, so I wanted to be part of the series,” she said in a statement to Korean news agency Yonhap. “I feel very excited. I’ll work hard, so please watch me with affection.”

The Idol also stars The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, Suzanna Son, Steve Zissis, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Anne Heche, Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe and Nico Hiraga.

Jennie of course isn’t the only BLACKPINK member to star in a series. Jisoo recently starred in Snowdrop, which is currently available to stream on Disney+!
