Leslie Grace's 'Batgirl' Scrapped Completely Amid Warner Bros Discovery Merger

WBD’s decision comes as the merger of Warner Bros and Discovery continues to make a lot of changes, with CEO David Saslav “prioritizing cost-cutting measures and refocusing Warners on theatrical films rather than creating projects straight for streaming,” according to THR.
Batgirl reportedly cost nearly $90 million to make, and was already filmed. You can see set photos here!
Some reports are saying that early test screenings found the film poorly received by audiences, while others say that the reason is because Warner Bros Discovery is just focusing on big theatrical releases and this movie was not that.
Michael Keaton, JK Simmons, Jacob Scipio, Ivory Aquino and Ethan Kai were also in the cast, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah as directors.
This other DC movie was also scrapped following the merger.
