Lili Reinhart Reveals They Can't Do This On the CW

Lili Reinhart is opening up about acting on The CW.

The 25-year-old actress of course has been starring on the network in Riverdale.

During a new interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Lili shared something that they’re not allowed to do while filming, getting pigeonholed as a CW actor and more.

“If I could, I would work with Yorgos Lanthimos,” she said of what she sees for her future. “I just think his movie, I just re-watched The Favourite and I just think his films are so stylized and brilliant, and I love when a director has just such an interesting new point of view that’s so fun. I think that would be a dream.”

“Other than that, I have a lot of sort of dramatic, deep roles in my future after Riverdale. Definitely roles that you have not seen me in. I’m an adult woman and I’m going to start playing those more adult roles,” she continued.

“You can only be so much of an adult on a CW show, because you’re not even really allowed to kiss with tongue. So, you know, that aspect of things are a little different,” Lili shared. “Just playing more diverse, complicated, messier characters. That’s what’s on my horizon and I couldn’t be more excited.”
