Katherine McNamara Teases 'Walker Independence' Isn't a Regular Western

Katherine McNamara is opening up about her upcoming new series Walker Independence.

The 26-year-old former Arrow actress is returning to the network in the Walker prequel series, playing Abby Walker.

In a recent interview, Katherine dished that this isn’t your normal western show, even though it takes place in the 1800s.

“It’s not the western you’re expecting,” she told TV Insider. “Every character is not what they seem on the surface. It has the feel and the nostalgia of a western, but it’s a very modern story with characters that are going through real things that are so fascinating.”

She also added that the female driven perspective is “why I was so attracted to this project.”

Producer Anne Fricke adds that there will be “lots of Easter eggs for fans.”
