'Good Trouble' EP Talks That Season 4 Finale Shocking Final Moment

In the finale, with Mariana back at the farm to find Jenna, she learns that Jenna actually does want to leave, and they hatch a plan to try and escape.

Meanwhile, Joaquin (Bryan Craig) and Evan (TJ Linnard) drive up to make sure Mariana is okay. After arriving, even though he has a restraining order against him, Joaquin attempts to go in and rescue Mariana, leaving Evan at the truck.

Mariana goes to let Jenna out of a locked room as the two attempt to sneak away in the middle of the night, but after they get out of the house, they get caught and have to start running.

The girls then run into Joaquin and they are all making a run for it back to the truck, Adam pulls his gun out, yells “Stop!” then shoots, and as we see the bullet flying through the air, it cuts to black.

Good Trouble executive producer Joanna Johnson dished on the big cliffhanger in a new interview with TV Guide.

“It all came out of the Joaquin story, looking for a sister and finding her in a cult. It felt like somebody would get shot. It worked organically,” she said. “It wasn’t like, ‘We’ve got to figure out how to get someone shot.’ It just really seemed to work with the story, and it is the biggest action ending we’ve ever had.”

She then teased that we are of course going to be getting answers in season five.
