Cynthia Erivo Dishes on Working With Ariana Grande on 'Wicked' Movies

Cynthia Erivo is opening up about what it has been like working with Ariana Grande!

The Pinocchio actress and the “Side to Side” singer are of course playing Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the upcoming long-awaited Wicked movie adaptation.

While attending the Pinocchio premiere in Los Angeles this week, Cynthia was asked about how it’s been working with Ariana.

“I love her, truly,” she told Variety‘s Marc Malkin. “She is funny and unbelievably talented and unbelievably sweet and truly working hard. We’re both working really hard together. I’m excited for both of us.”

She also added how she reacted finding out Wicked would be split into two movies.

“I was like, ‘Well alright then, I guess we’ve got our work set ahead of us.’ It’s full on,” Cynthia shared. “And kind of exciting, because it means that we have more of the story to tell — more room, more real estate to tell these two stories.”
