Dixie D'Amelio Shows Off Shaved Head at Harper's Bazaar Global Icons Party

Dixie D’Amelio is showing off a new look while attending the Harper’s Bazaar Global Icons Party held on Friday night (September 9) in New York City.

The 21-year-old singer shaved all of her hair off ahead of the event, and even documented the process in a YouTube video.

“I’ve wanted to do this since sixth grade,” she says at one point in the video.

Dixie‘s mom, Heidi, didn’t seem to mind the major change, as she had done it as well when she was younger.

“I’m so excited [for her]. It was very liberating,” she said. “You know what I did get a lot? A lot of people asked me, like, ‘Oh, are you going through something?’”

Dixie admitted that she has been sad recently, but “I don’t want to say anything because I don’t want anyone to think I’m having a mental breakdown.”

She added, “Everyone who I’ve told is like, ‘Oh, that’s going to be dope.’ And if someone doesn’t like it, then who cares. [It] grows back.”
