China Anne McClain to Return for 'Descendants 4,' 2 More Disney Stars Cast In Lead Roles!

Huge Descendants news came out at 2022 D23 Expo on Saturday (September 10) in Anaheim, Calif.

China Anne McClain took to the stage and revealed she’ll be reprising her role as Uma for the upcoming fourth movie in the franchise!

It was also revealed that two more Disney stars will be joining her.

Gabby Duran and the Unsittables star Kylie Cantrall and HSMTMTS‘ Dara Renee have both been cast in the leading roles of the movie!

Kylie will star as Red, the teen daughter of the Queen of Hearts, while Dara will be Chloe, the teen daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

In the movie, in order to prevent an impending coup in Auradon – one that looms during the celebration of a new royal baby –, Red must join forces with Chloe to travel in back in time, via the White Rabbit’s pocket watch, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.

Jennifer Phang is directing and co-executive producing, with a story by Dan Frey and Russell Sommer.

Filming will begin in 2023.

If you remember, back in September 2021 it was revealed that there were two more Descendants movies in development. Then, in May 2022, it was announced that Disney+ had greenlit The Pocketwatch (working title, aka Descendants 4).

No official title for the movie has been set at this time. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming fourth Descendants franchise musical!
