Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa took to Instagram on Wednesday (September 28) to tease the start of the season.

“And AWAY! WE! GO! Itโs back to the 1950โs for Season Seven of #Riverdale! And everythingโs FINE, Darlings. ๐๐ข๐๐ผ๏ธ๐ฅ๐๐ท๏ธ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฅคโน๐ป๐ญ๐๏ธโ ๏ธโ ๏ธโ ๏ธ” he captioned a post.

The episode is titled, “Chapter One Hundred and Eighteen: Don’t Worry, Darling,” and was written by Roberto himself, along with Danielle Iman.
If you missed it, Roberto previously teased how the season six finale time jump back to the 50s would go into the upcoming final season.
In the last couple of weeks, other CW shows that have begun filming their next seasons are Superman & Lois and The Flash, which will also be ending. All three shows are set to premiere mid-season in early 2023.
