'The Super Mario Bros Movie' Gets New Poster Ahead of Teaser Trailer Release

We are getting our first look at the upcoming Super Mario Bros Movie!

Universal has debuted the teaser poster, which features A LOT for the eyes to look at.

Fans will notice many familiar things from the popular video games, including Princess Peach’s castle at the top!

More details inside…

If you didn’t know, the voice cast for the upcoming movie includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

Over the summer, Chris teased that his Mario voice is unlike anything you’ve heard before. (As long as he perfectly says, “It’s a me, Mario!” we’re all good!)

“I worked really closely with the directors and trying out a few things and landed on something that I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear,” Chris Pratt told Variety. “It’s an animated voiceover narrative. It’s not a live-action movie. I’m not gonna be wearing a plumber suit running all over. I’m providing a voice for an animated character, and it is updated and unlike anything you’ve heard in the Mario world before.”

The first teaser trailer for The Super Mario Bros Movie is set to debut THIS Thursday (October 6) at New York Comic Con and live on Nintendo Direct.

The movie is set to hit theaters on April 7, 2023.

If you didn’t know, they’re currently in construction on Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, and it’s set to open in early 2023. In case you missed it, get the scoop on the land’s main ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge!
