Shay Mitchell Appears to Come Out as Bisexual

It looks like Shay Mitchell is coming out.

The 35-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress took to TikTok on Wednesday (October 5) where she seemingly came out as bisexual, and it’s all because of a certain couch she owns.

Shay shared a side-by-side video on TikTok with a user who says, “If you identify as a bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?”

In her own video, Shay dramatically lies down on her own green velvet couch.

While Shay has never specifically come out as bisexual, she has been very open about being attracted to women.

In a YouTube video from last year, her former PLL co-star Ian Harding asked Shay when was the last time she’s been attracted to a woman.

“Wow. Every day.” Shay responded. “For me, it’s never been ‘I need to find a boyfriend, I need to find this,’” she continued. “I truly feel like I do fall in love with a person.”

Also in an interview with Maxim in 2017, Shay talked about playing Emily on PLL, who was part of the LGBTQ+ community.

“People always ask me, ‘You play a gay character? Are you gay? Are you straight? Are you this? Are you that?’” Shay said at the time. “Look, Emily doesn’t label herself, and I don’t label myself either. I fall in love with the spirit of somebody. Love is love, and that’s something that I’ll keep saying.”

Shay has been in a relationship with boyfriend Matte Babel since 2017 and they share two daughters – Atlas, 2, and Rome, 4 months.
