Dancing With The Stars will be saying goodbye to a longtime judge after the show’s current season!

It was announced on Monday night’s (November 14) episode that one of the four judges will be leaving the dance competition series at the end of season 31.

Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli have been judges in every season, while Len Goodman has been a judge for 29 of the show’s 31 seasons. Derek Hough is the newest addition, who joined the panel in season 29.

About halfway through Monday’s semi-finals, one judge made their big announcement, and revealed why they’re leaving.

Len Goodman is leaving!

The 78-year-old head judge and ballroom expert announced that this will be his last season sitting on the judges panel.

Len of course is from England, and DWTS films in Los Angeles. During the pandemic, he wasn’t able to be at the show in person due to travel restrictions.

Now, he wants to spend more time with his family.

“This will be my last season judging on Dancing With the Stars,” he announced halfway into the episode. “I’ve been with the show since it started in 2005 and it has been a huge pleasure to be part of such a wonderful show. But I’ve decided I’d like to spend more time with my grandchildren and my family back in England. I couldn’t thank you enough, the Dancing With the Stars family, it has been such a wonderful experience for me and I’m looking forward so much to next week’s finale. I’m sure it’s going to be absolutely brilliant.”
