Taylor will work on the upcoming project with Searchlight Pictures, which is a production company under the greater Disney umbrella! She of course has worked with Disney previously, to release her Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions on Disney+.

Not much else is known about the movie she will direct.

“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield shared in a statement, via THR.

Earlier this year, while at the Toronto International Film Festival, Taylor talked about the possibility of directing a movie.

“If it were the right thing, it would be such a privilege and honor,” she said.

She is also set to take part in Variety’s Directors on Directors conversation series. Her episode will premiere on Monday (December 12).

Speaking of the “All Too Well” short film, Taylor just released the behind-the-scenes and you can watch her in action as a director!
