'Wednesday' Notches Second-Best Streaming Week In Nielsen History

Netflix’s Wednesday continues to slay.

The series, which stars Jenna Ortega as the titular Wednesday Addams, has exceeded expectations.

Earlier this month it became the third series to ever surpass one billion hours of viewing time on Netflix.

It looks like it will be every bit as successful on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10, where it debuted at the top spot after amassing nearly six billion minutes of streaming time, according to Variety.

Wednesday debuted on the chart dated November 21-27 with 5.988 billion minutes streamed. Impressively, that data only accounted for five days of streaming time.

The numbers earned the series the second-best week of data in the chart’s history. The only project to beat it is Stranger Things, which amassed more than 7 billion minutes of streaming time during a week earlier this year.

Will Wednesday be back for a second season? Nothing is confirmed just yet. However, an exec from Netflix weighed in. You can also see what members of the VFX team behind the series had to say about returning to the franchise.

Even Jenna has spilled about what she wants to see happen if Wednesday returns for a second season.
