Ryan Murphy Says He Should Have Done This 'Glee' Spinoff That He Turned Down

Ryan Murphy is opening up about what he could have done with the success of Glee!

The co-creator of the hit musical series had a chance to make a spinoff, but ended up turning it down, and he’s revealing why and how he feels about the decision looking back.

See what he said inside…

While making an appearance on Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz‘s new podcast And That’s What You REALLY Missed, Ryan revealed that he regrets turning down doing a Warblers spinoff.

“The only time I ever said no was in the middle of the third season, they really did want to do a Darren Criss – Dalton Warblers spinoff,” he said. “We were talking about doing a Warblers spinoff, but I said I didn’t have the bandwidth. I should’ve done it, actually. Looking back on it, what I wouldn’t kill to have done that show, because it would’ve been great.”

The Warblers were first introduced to Glee fans in season two, with Darren Criss as one of the main members of the group. Others in the group throughout the time on the show include Grant Gustin, Riker Lynch and Nolan Gerard Funk.

The a capella group from Dalton Academy also joined the Glee world tour after the second season, and had their own album, Glee: The Music Presents The Warblers!
