Sydney Sweeney to Star in New Rom Com from 'HSMTMTS' Writer

Sydney Sweeney has added another movie to ever growing slate of upcoming titles!

The 25-year-old actress will be starring in a new rom-com alongside Glen Powell, according to Deadline.

“see you soon mate ;),” she wrote on Instagram with the news.

While the plot is being kept under wraps, the original script was written by Ilana Wolpert, who has served as a writer on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Will Gluck will be directing and rewriting the script, with Sydney executive producing as well.

According to Deadline, the movie has been acquired by Sony, and it will be R-rated. Filming on the movie is slated to begin at the end of February.

This is one of many new projects Sydney has coming up, including season three of Euphoria and the Madame Web movie.

Glen also has a comedy movie in the works with his longtime friend and former Scream Queens co-star Nick Jonas.
