Nicholas Galitzine Cast In New Period Drama Series 'Mary & George'

Nicholas Galitzine has joined the cast of an upcoming new TV series!

The 28-year-old Cinderalla and Purple Hearts actor will be playing George in the upcoming period drama Mary & George, alongside Julianne Moore, Deadline reveals.

In Mary & George, Julianne will star as Mary Villiers, “Countess of Buckingham, who in 17th century England molded her beautiful son, George (Galitzine), to seduce King James I and become his all-powerful lover. Through outrageous scheming, the pair rose from humble beginnings to become one of the richest, most titled and influential mother and sons England had ever seen.”

The new series is based on a true story, and will be told as an eight part limited series for Sky and AMC. It will air on Sky in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Italy, and on AMC in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India.

Production is currently underway in the UK.

This is just the latest project Nicholas has in the works, – Last summer, he filmed the “Red, White & Royal Blue” movie adaptation with Taylor Zakhar Perez, following by filming the adaptation of “The Idea of You” with Anne Hathaway. Both movies will be debuting on Prime Video!
