In a post credits scene, Aki’s dad Roger offered Jordan a job to turn Gossip Girl into a global app for teens all over the world to turn on each other. However, we did not get an answer to if he took the job, but Joshua did say he would take it.
“Yes, that was also always part of our long-term plan,” he told TV Line. “We wanted to see what would happen if we ‘democratized’ Gossip Girl. We were really excited about that story.”
While Gossip Girl is over, for now, they are searching to find a new home for the show.
“We are currently looking for another home, but in this climate, that might prove an uphill battle, and so if this is the end, at least we went out on the highest of highs,” Joshua shared when the show was announced to be canceled.
