The CW Reportedly Only Looking To Renew a Few Shows

Major news is out about the future of The CW!

The network is famously going through a restructuring after getting new owner, Nexstar, and is trying to cut costs.

Last year, The CW canceled many of it’s scripted shows, and announced several more were ending in 2023.

Now, a new report suggests they’ll be cutting many more shows.

After ending several shows last year, there are only 11 scripted series left, three of which will be ending later in 2023.

The CW has already renewed one show since the new owner took over – All American!

Now, this leaves Walker, Walker: Independence, All American: Homecoming, The Winchesters, Superman & Lois, Kung Fu, and new series Gotham Knights, which has yet to premiere.

THR has revealed that the network is only looking to keep thee scripted originals next season, and that includes All American.

As The CW looks to turn a profit with the new owner, they are looking to change up their programming, with more unscripted content being added, including a racing docu-series, and a new multi-year deal with LIV Gold League.
