Jenna Fischer Cast as a Mom in 'Mean Girls' Movie Musical

Jenna Fischer is heading to Evanston, Illinois in the upcoming Mean Girls movie musical!

The former star of The Office was just announced to be cast in the upcoming adaptation of the Broadway musical, according to Deadline.

She joins an already stacked cast, which includes young stars Auli’i Cravalho, Renee Rapp, Bebe Wood and more!

Jenna has been cast to portray Cady Heron’s mom, Ms Heron. Cady is being played by Angourie Rice in the upcoming movie.

If you recall, Cady and her parents move to Evanston from Africa, where they spent the last 12 years and where Cady was homeschooled.

The movie adaptation of the Broadway musical, of course based on the 2004 movie, is set to begin filming next week, as Tina Fey recently revealed.
