Jenna Ortega Joins The Weeknd In His Feature Film Debut

Jenna Ortega is adding another movie to her resume!

The 20-year-old in-demand actress has now joined the cast of The Weeknd‘s upcoming film debut, Deadline reports.

Also joining the movie is another popular actor – Barry Keoghan.

Details on the upcoming project are being kept on the down low, but it’s based on an original idea from The Weeknd, who co-wrote the script with Trey Edward Shults. Trey will also be directing.

In addition to starring in the project, both Jenna and The Weeknd are executive producing.

Earlier this month, The Weeknd was seen filming what was presumed a music video, but with this movie news, it’s likely he may have actually been filming scenes for the upcoming feature.

The Weeknd is also starring in the upcoming TV series The Idol. Check out the teaser!

Jenna has quite a few projects coming up, including a second season of Wednesday, Scream VI and a movie with her Wednesday co-star Percy Hynes White. She’s also going to be hosting Saturday Night Live!
