The CW Looking to Acquire 'Fboy Island' After HBO Max Cancelation, Plus 'Fgirl Island' Spinoff In the Works

The CW is reportedly closing in on a deal to bring Fboy Island to it’s network with a new season!

The home of All American, Riverdale and more has been going through changes since getting a new majority owner in Nexstar.

Since the acquisition, Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery went to minority partners and Nexstar has been looking to shed most of the content that is currently on The CW from the two companies.

Only three shows are reportedly going to be saved through to next season, including the already renewed All American.

The network picked up a deal to air LIV Golf as they transition more into alternate programming, and is looking to house more reality-based content as opposed to scripted.

Which brings us to Fboy Island, the reality dating series that was canceled by HBO Max back in December after two seasons.

According to Deadline, The CW is set to beat out other networks for Fboy Island, and they’re also looking to pick up the spinoff Fgirl Island, with the same premise but gender-swapped.

Nikki Glaser has served as host and producer for the first two seasons.

If you don’t know, Fboy Island follows three women who move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys,” there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection. By the finale, all will be revealed – who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, and who the women ultimately choose.

Season two gave us a twist, with one of the women actually being an Fgirl, leading to the potential for a spinoff.
