'Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies' Star Madison Lagares Reveals 10 Fun Facts About Herself (Exclusive)

Madison Lagares is opening up about herself!

The young actress can currently be seen starring as Fran “Frenchy” Facciano in Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the younger sister of Marisa Davila’s Jane Facciano.

Madison‘s character is of course the younger version of Frenchy from the original Grease film, who was played by Didi Conn.

Rise of the Pink Ladies of course takes place four years before the OG musical film, in 1954, before rock ‘n’ roll ruled, before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

We recently caught up with Madison Lagares and got to know 10 Fun Facts about her.

Find out what she shared inside…

One thing you may not know, she was hand-picked by THE Gloria Estefan herself to play Little Gloria in On Your Feet, her Broadway debut. She then performed in the musical School of Rock.

  • 1. I absolutely LOVE reading. I actually never got a phone until this year so when everyone else was on their phone, I was reading book after book after book. I always preferred reading books over watching TV or movies because I’m free to imagine the characters and the setting as I want, not as it’s given to me. My favorite book of all time has to be “Killing Commendatore” by Haruki Murakami.
  • 2. I’m extremely good at memorizing things. Not only scripts and lyrics but anything. I can memorize things very quickly and accurately.
  • 3. I have perfect pitch. I’m able to tell automatically if a note is flat, sharp and the exact name of it. This is really helpful for my music career, as I’m able to hear anything that others cant!
  • 4. I love cats. Cats are 100% my spirit animal. I used to really dislike cats (I had a few bad experiences with cats from a young age and some scars to prove it), but I grew to love them so much!
  • 5. I’m a runner. I started running about 3 years ago and I was in my school’s cross country, winter and spring track team last year. I was filming this year so I couldn’t be a part of the team, but I still run very often! I also have asthma so running has definitely helped build my lung tolerance and actually helped my breathing skills in regards to singing. So, if you ever want to hold notes longer, start running!
  • 6. I love travelling. I love being able to visit new places, try different foods, hear different types of music and just explore different cultures overall. It’s my favorite thing to do. I have an EXTREMELY long list on my notes app of places I want to visit in the near future and it’s my goal to visit them all!
  • 7. I first learned to sing classically before I learned to sing any other way. I started off singing opera and Italian arias, and from there I decided to branch off into musical theatre when I wanted to do Broadway, and then eventually my own distinct sound from there! Training classically was really helpful, as it helped me have a really wide range from such a young age.
  • 8. I actually don’t know how to use chopsticks 😭 I’ve watched YouTube tutorials, I’ve had every person under the sun try to teach me how, yet I could never do it. I still can’t. At this point I’ve given up trying… I either use a fork or I use one stick to poke what I’m trying to grab. It’s a little sad but maybe one day I’ll learn.
  • 9. Prior to my auditioning for Fran ‘Frenchy’ Facciano, I had seen the movie Grease 13 times. Now, I’ve seen the movie 38 times!
  • 10. My favorite food is anything with truffles in it. Truffle pasta, truffle sauce, plain truffle…you name it!

Tune in to catch Madison Lagares as Fran “Frenchy” Facciano in Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The first five episodes are now streaming on Paramount+, with new episodes weekly on Thursdays!
