Disney Will Remove Some Content From Streaming Services, Plans to Release One Single, Combined App in 2023

Disney has revealed some upcoming plans for it’s trio of streaming services.

The company, led by CEO Bob Iger, shared a couple of major updates on Wednesday (May 10) during their quarterly earnings call.

Among the updates include two big things for their streaming platforms – Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ – they will be removing content, and also combining the three!

CFO Christine McCarthy shared that they are in the process of looking over shows and movies across all three platforms, and they will “be removing certain content from streaming platforms,” via THR.

As for combining the three services, CEO Bob Iger revealed that they will be releasing a singular streaming platform with content from all three by the end of 2023. However, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ will still be available as their own standalone platforms.
