Emma Chamberlain Says Vlogging 'Wasn't Good' For Her & 'There Needs to Be a Major Shift'

Emma Chamberlain is opening about why she hasn’t been vlogging.

The 22-year-old YouTuber turned coffee connoisseur and fashion it girl has only uploaded seven videos to her channel since June 2022, with her last video being this past May.

In a new interview, Emma shared the effects that vlogging has taken on her mental health and how she can’t continue without some changes.

“While vlogging, I was in sort of a hamster wheel,” she told Marie Claire. “It just wasn’t good for me. There was this pressure to make my daily life a bit more interesting that I couldn’t avoid. And yet my daily life needs to be simple right now for my mental health.”

She also noted there were “uncomfortable situations” while vlogging, like being stalked by fans through supermarkets and cafes.

“I can’t share my life the way I used to,” Emma added. “There needs to be a major shift. And it’s been a challenge to navigate what that looks like.”
