Olivia Holt is opening up about her own struggles with body insecurity.

In a recent interview with Stylecaster, the Cloak & Dagger actress got real about her muscular figure and how her insecurities grew after being told to lose or gain weight for different roles.

“I’ve struggled with figuring out exactly what my body type is and going back and forth between feeling too skinny or too thick or too this or too that,” Olivia shared. “Being a gymnast, I had a lot of issues with feeling too broad in my shoulders or too thick in my thighs.”

“It’s heartbreaking that we have to feel this way, especially as women in a world where we already feel put down by so many others.

Olivia adds that she has “been told by many producers, ‘You need to lose X amount of pounds if you’re going to be a part of this project’ or ‘You need to gain this amount of pounds if you want to be a part of this project.’”

“That really messes, not just your headspace, but your heart.”

Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph are a super chic duo while stepping out for the 2018 Monte Carlo TV Festival.

The Cloak & Dagger co-stars hit the red carpet on Saturday afternoon (June 16) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

The upcoming third episode of the series will finally unite Tandy and Tyrone as they learn about their past and get ready to talk about their future.

While most of their interactions in the episode take place in dreams, the ending teases their much need conversation about their powers.

“In Episode 4, we have one of the longest conversations in the history of television interlaced with some really crazy action stuff that helps them lay out what they’re gonna do about their problems,” showrunner Joe Pokaski told TVGuide.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger airs on Thursdays at 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.

The two Cloak & Dagger stars just recently expressed their want for that much-talked about, possible crossover with Marvel’s Runaways.

“If we were to cross over with any other Marvel show, it would definitely be them,” Aubrey agreed, talking with EW. “We’re close in age and it would just probably make the most sense. I’m all for the Runaways.”

Olivia added, “I would love to see the Cloak and Dagger clan and the Runaways clan team up.”

Tyrone might get a glimpse of Tandy’s greatest fear in the new episode of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger tonight.

In the episode, called “Stained Glass”, Tandy (Olivia Holt) is on the run as Detective O’Reilly closes in on her, but the detective may not be after her for the reasons Tandy thinks.

Meanwhile, Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) is desperate for answers and turns to Evita and her Auntie Clarisse, a Voodoo priestess, for help.

Olivia Holt gets her game on while playing in Nintendo’s 2018 Super Smash Bros. Invitational at Belasco Theatre on Tuesday (June 12) in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old Cloak & Dagger actress teamed up with football player Mike Daniels and WWE’s Ember Moon in a game against NairoMK.

Although a great match, NairoMK ultimately came out victorious in the 1 vs 3 battle.

Olivia Holt is on an amazing new show right now, however, we’re kind of missing new music from her.

Speaking with WWD, the Cloak & Dagger star opened up about being in the studio and gearing up to release new tracks soon.

“I’ve been keeping it on the DL on my socials, but yea, I’ve been in the recording studio almost every single day this year, writing and recording, making music,” she shared. “I’m excited for everybody to listen to all the stories I’ve been writing and I’m excited for them to go on that journey with me.”

After wrapping the first season of filming for the Marvel show, Olivia started to travel and that’s where she got a lot of her inspiration.

“I feel like it just keeps me alive and keeps me more curious and helps me breathe and listen and observe,” Olivia revealed.

And travel is still on her to-do list this summer: “I just want to enjoy summer and see friends and family and make sure I’m prioritizing not just the work life, but the personal life as well.”

Olivia Holt got goosebumps the moment she heard that she was cast in Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger.

In a new interview with StyleCaster, the 20-year-old actress remembered the moment she was cast.

It was right after she performed the national anthem at the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando, and she picked up a phone call, trying to block out all the screaming football fans. Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel television, and Joe Pokaski, the creator of the series were on the other end.

“Jeff said three really cool words to me. That’s even how he described it. He was like, ‘Well, Olivia, I have just three more words to say to you: Welcome to Marvel,” Olivia shared.

“I just remember getting goosebumps and freaking out. I called my parents afterward, and we were all sobbing crazy tears. It was pretty epic.”

She continues, opening up about getting her hands on the first script: “I remember getting into my hotel room, reading the first episode, and being like, ‘Whoa. This is intense. This is not what I was expecting.’”

“The show does focus on serious topics, and that’s real life. It should be a conversation. It shouldn’t be something that we’re hiding or feel too shy to speak about,” Olivia says. “The fact that we’re able to tell this story right now, what it’s like to be a young black male in America and what it’s like to be a young white female in America, is so important.”
